Barry! August 26, 2009

Stop the press!

We finished writing the BBC1 children's show just in time to write... a THIRD BBC1 children's show!

This time it's for series 2 and 3 of 'Scoop', starring Sean Williamson (aka Barry from Eastenders, and 'Barry from Eastenders' from Extras...) as an inept journalist supported by his long-suffering dog Hacker.

It's a long lead-in time for this one, so it won't be on your screens till 2010. Hopefully before then we'll actually squeeze in one of our own shows!

One two, Princes stand before you, that's what I said now. May 22, 2009

The Legend Continues

Having just finished writing a CBBC show - we get to write a CBBC show! The Legend of Dick and Dom has been re-commissioned for both a second AND a third series, to be filmed back to back, and we've been commissioned to write some more episodes for them.

So now's your chance - if you've ever wanted to see Dick and Dom have something particular poured over their heads, secreted into their trousers or smashed into their faces, drop us a line and we might be able to make it happen!

Grrrrr! May 22, 2009

Our new show is completely parli-mental!

We're finally able to confirm our new live show!

From November 2009, The Black Sheep invite you to experienceThe Joy of Politics, an irreverent romp through the halls of power while dancing the Quango Tango.

We've once again secured the talents of top comedy theatre director Cal McCrystal (who directed our previous shows The Joy of Wine and I, Lear), so it looks set to be another masterpiece of intelligent stupidity! And we've set ourselves the additional challenge of keeping the show updated topically, so you'll be kept tickled AND informed at the same time!

We're going to bring down the house, so Order! Order! your tickets today, for our premiere run at the Warehouse Theatre in Croydon!

Hooray for Bollywood! May 22, 2009

Out of this world

For those of you wondering where we've been of late, we've been up to our necks writing three episodes of brand new CBBC show Planet Ajay, a Bollywood spectacular set in space, starring Ajay Chabra (from The Basil Brush Show and, indeed, The Archers) as the lucky owner of his own planet from which he hosts a weekly variety show.

The new show from production company Foundation films over the Summer, and should hit BBC1 towards the end of the year or early in 2010 - we'll let you know when to program the Sky Plus!
